![]() ![]() Not to mention a game like this can't be 100% stealthed. I spent probably a majority of the game doing stealth kills for whatever targets I could reliably one shot.īeing on normal difficulty I tried going as you said MH style at first but realized (even from Watchers) that enemies deal a ton of damage so stealth is what you are pushed toward in order to stay alive. Especially when combined with the whistle to lure enemies to your hiding spot. Stealth works insanely well in this game, almost too well. I am 100% a Stealth gamer, but this I cannot do any longer, I've resorted to stop stealth and find other means to progress through the game, Stealth wise, the game doesn't allow it to be so Strike from above is very wonky, I'm above them, on a hill, but it decides to make a normal attack instead of doing the whole stealth from above animation, which in certain areas machines or bandit camps all get alerted afterwards, for me it's a shame, the story and graphics are nice, just the game did sort of endorse the Stealth mechanics of the game and has skills for it, just it's no longer viable with the many issues it hasįirst few times I shrugged it off, but I just find this issue way too often as I solely rely on Stealth as I am a patient gamer, I wait for the perfect time, strike from above, it flashes on screen as if the prompt to make the Stealth action is possible, but NOPE, regular swing, whole area alerted, what's the pointīesides that, which is already known and won't be updated in the future, the camera keeps reverting to one shoulder, I have to literally every 5 seconds aim my bow, which also makes me stop running, just to revert back over the other shoulder, it's infuriating to have to do that every time Most of what I have an issue with is how it determines when a stealth action can be taken place, on a level playing field on flat land, it's solid, on an uphill/downhill point of view, it seems it finds it hard to determine how to base a stealth kill on an enemy, even when trying to attack, it attacks on the level playing field, even if the enemy is far below that angle on a hill At first, the tutorial and prologue of learning the game as you go, great, Stealth is amazing, after the first initial missions to become a seeker, throw Stealth out the window, it ends up becoming a Monster Hunter game as progression and areas open up, each new progressive area only gets worse, more enemies in each area, alert one, alert them all sort of deal, and most end up becoming non-instant kills ![]()
